Following on from my own musings on "Belonging" and migration in general, I was lucky enough to catch Martin Green's mesmerising show, Flit, at this year's Celtic Connections festival. It was a beautiful and thought-provoking exploration of migration (both forced and voluntary, human and animal) and movement through sound, vocals and visual animation, inspired by the experiences of Green's own Grandmother, who came to this country via the Kindertransport on the 1930s. A very prescient production for our current troubled times.
